- 8 slices Colby-Jack cheese
- 4 tablespoons soft butter
- 8 slices sourdough bread
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet, cook and crumble the sausage until browned; set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and scramble the beaten eggs until just set.
- Combine cooked sausage and scrambled eggs in a bowl.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread. In the skillet, layer one slice of bread (butter side down), add cheese, then the egg-sausage mixture, followed by another slice of cheese and buttered bread (butter side up).
