- 1 cup all-purpose flour (for buttercream)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate (for ganache)
- 4 oz heavy cream
- 2–3 tsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Make the cookie dough by creaming together butter and sugars. Add milk, vanilla, flour, and salt, folding in chocolate chips. Chill.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar for the cake, then mix in eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and alternate adding milk and yogurt until smooth.
- Bake in greased pans for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool layers on racks.
- For buttercream, beat softened butter, add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in flour, brown sugar, milk, vanilla, salt, and fold in chocolate chips.
- Assemble by layering cooled cakes with cookie dough buttercream and frost the entire cake.
- Prepare ganache by heating cream and mixing with chopped chocolate; drizzle over the frosted cake.
