  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add onion, garlic, celery, and carrot; sauté until softened (5-7 minutes).
  2. Sprinkle in flour while stirring continuously. Cook for about 2 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in seafood stock, then stir in heavy cream and cooking wine (or extra stock). Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add crab meat and shrimp; season with spices. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until shrimp are cooked through.
  5. Serve hot garnished with fresh parsley and paprika.
