  • 5 pieces of bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup onion (diced)
  • 2 sticks celery (diced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb Yukon potatoes (peeled & diced)
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy; set aside.
  2. In the same pot, brown ground beef and drain excess fat.
  3. Melt butter and sauté onion and celery until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and flour; cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
  6. Add heavy cream, potatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and browned beef; bring to a boil.
  7. Lower heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  8. Off the heat, stir in cheddar cheese until melted; season with salt and pepper.
