  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp Tony’s seasoning
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (for frying)
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • Dash Sriracha
  • 4 slices brioche bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract (or vanilla)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk mixed with salt and white pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a Dutch oven to 350°F.
  3. Combine flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and seasoning in a bowl. Coat marinated chicken and fry until golden brown.
  4. Prepare the sauce by simmering all ingredients in a pot until thickened.
  5. Whisk eggs with milk and spices; dip brioche slices before grilling them to form French toast.
