Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles
- 4 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned (about 5 minutes). Add ginger and garlic during the last two minutes.
- Boil water in a pot and cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Drain excess fat from beef, then add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
- Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Add to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
