  • 1/4 cup melted shortening

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, combine warm water, honey, egg, and vanilla; then add melted shortening.
  2. Combine wet and dry ingredients using a stand mixer with a dough hook. Knead until slightly sticky.
  3. Shape into a ball and let rise covered in a warm area for 1 to 2 hours.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, roll up tightly, and cut into pieces.
  5. Allow the pieces to rise again for about 45 minutes on parchment-lined sheets.
