Description

Ingredients

  • 16 string cheeses (cut in half)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Set up three bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Dip each cheese stick into flour, then egg mixture, followed by breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crunch.
  3. Place coated sticks on parchment-lined trays and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry cheese sticks in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving immediately with marinara sauce.
